TradeGEX Chart Interface: Complete User Guide for Futures Traders

This section provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the TradeGEX chart interface. Learn every feature, control, and customization option available to maximize your trading analysis.

Toolbar Overview

Symbol Selector

Choose your trading instrument: ES (E mini S&P 500), NQ (E mini Nasdaq), GC (Gold), RTY (Russell 2000), or CL (Crude Oil). Switching symbols automatically loads the corresponding GEX data from related ETF options.

Timeframe Selector

Select your candlestick timeframe: 1m for scalping, 5m for intraday, 15m for swing entries, or 1H for position trading context. GEX overlay adjusts automatically.

Expiration Selector

Choose which options expiration to analyze: 0DTE (most dynamic), weekly, monthly, or all expirations combined. 0DTE provides the most gamma sensitive readings while longer expirations show structural positioning.

Real Time Metrics

The toolbar shows OI (total open interest), GEX Total (net gamma exposure), HF (current Hedge Flow reading), and connection status.

Best Practices

Morning Routine

Check overnight action relative to GEX levels, note the Gamma Flip and whether price is above or below, identify Put Wall and Call Wall for range expectations, check VIX positioning, and set alerts at key levels.

During Trading

Monitor price approach to key levels, watch HF for move confirmation, check oscillators for divergences, use VIX crossovers for timing, and reference dual charts for cross market confirmation.
